Today was a great day to come to Noah's, even though few attractions were open. Upon entering the park, I was told by lifegaurds that The Black Anaconda was closed. I was inoformed that it would only be down for thirty minutes so I decided to ride Kowabunga. Afterwards, I headed next door to THE PLUNGE. As always, I loved this ride and all of its airtime. I found myself climbing those stairs to challenge the Plunge thirteen more times today. Staring at Scorpion's Tail between every ride...
After my first few rides on the Plunge, I decided to try Jungle Rapids. I've always liked the speed one can gain on this ride. That's why I make sure to ride it every time I visit.
I ended up spending the bigger portion of my day RIGHT IN FRONT OF SCORPIONS TAIL. Riding it?... No... It was closed until around 2:00 because it got struck by lightning the previous day. The Black Anaconda was also closed due to it being struck by lightning, but didn't reopen. I got interviewed by the Travel Channel
for their new show called "Bert the Conqueror". I was very fun to be interviewed. Something I had not done before.
After spending a considerable amount of time in front of Scorpions, I heard someone shout, "They're testing it". I got really excited hearing this, since no one was sure if it were openning it at all. Everyone, including "Bert" went right up to the entrance. After seeing some testing done on it, I heard about an official openning ceremony with the cutting of the red ribbon... I was just watching all of the happenings on top of the slide, when Amy came up and asked if I wanted to go up to the top. Sure...

So we went right up the Point of no Return entrance to get to the top of the ride. At the top of Scorpion's staircase, the travel channel was filming several takes for "Bert the Conqueror". It very fun to see how all the filming for a new show happens...
Finally, they cut the red ribbon, and it was on to the ride... Bert got into the capsule, for the first "official" ride on Scorpion's. 3-2-1 drop he was gone.

It wasn't until then, when I found out that I would be the second official rider on america's largest looping waterslide. I was suprised and very nervous for my first ride.
As I was entering the capsule, I was overjoyed at the fact that not only was I about to ride Scorpion's Tail, but also because I was the second official rider. Sure I knew that the ride had undergone many various tests, but this was the first time it was open to the public. Back to the ride... 3-2-1.... drop....
It was INSANE, AMAZING, and EXTREME! The drop get you going to an extreme speed heading into the loop. Where it really feels like an extreme overbanked turn. With water spraying in you face throughout the whole ride, this ride is just an extreme rush. Bert was at the bottom of the slide, where he had me yell a big "IT WAS AMAZING!" into the camera.

An overall, great attraction to add to the park. DEFINATELY check this one out!
Good job Noah's Ark. Your finally back to what you do best... adding water rides!
